About Top 44

Why Top 44 exists

Most prediction games only cover the Premier League, and most of those focus on week-to-week fixtures. Top 44 takes a different angle: one prediction at the start of the season across all 44 top-two-division clubs in England, then a slow-burn scoring race that plays out over the entire campaign.

It is deliberately simple to understand — one point per position off, lowest total wins — but rewards genuine football knowledge. Getting the champion right is nice; getting the whole shape of the table right is much harder.

Who runs it

Top 44 is an independent side project built and maintained by a small UK-based team of football fans. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League, the English Football League, or any club. Team names are used purely for identification.

How we make money

The game is free to play and will always have a free tier that includes a global league and private leagues. The site is supported by advertising and, in future, optional sponsorship of private leagues. We do not sell personal data.
